I haven't really gotten into the cooking without dairy, meat, etc. thing yet.. I think I'm still trying to get used to the huge lifestyle change. I mean it when I say HUGE... at least for me.
I have been however watching the amount of dairy intake I get, the amount of bad fats, and acidic and spicy foods. My boyfriend's family just gave me a book called "Eating for IBS" which so far, is a great reference guide with plenty of great recipes. I'm hoping to dive right in to this book and hopefully try a few of the recipes.
My goal is to eventually not miss the fatty foods, dairy, and other yummy things that I've grown up around. I think my biggest obstacle will be trying to train my body to "crave" foods that are good for me and not my usual go-to foods.
Lets begin...
